Here we have another splendid character figure from Mary Nicoll.  The Coachman rarely comes up these days, not surprisingly since Royal Doulton retired him thirty-seven years ago.

He's taking a well-earned break from his cold journey.  He sits in all his coachman's regalia enjoying a tankard of warm ale.
