Patience is a retired figurine from Royal Doulton's Images of Nature Collection.  The heron stands an impressive 12.25" tall.  The eye is drawn down the simple lines of the sculpture, which flow beautifully from the tip of the long beak, across the crest on the top of his head, down the sweep of the neck and on to the plinth.  The figurine is subtly detailed; the heron's feathers are picked out aswell as the bull rushes, but it is the simplicity of the sculpture that makes it stunning.
