This beautiful retired figurine from Royal Doulton was inspired by Gautier’s ballet Giselle. Here we see the young village girl in love and shortly to be married.

The figurine is of excellent quality, precisely what is expected from this period of Royal Doulton manufacture. The face is prettily hand-painted by a skilled artist and the dress is a rainbow of colours.
