Henry VIII ascended to the throne in 1509 at the age of 18 and reigned for 38 years. He died in 1547 content at least that he was survived by the single male heir that six marriages had brought him.

Whether tyrant or inspirational Henry was a huge character who features many times in Royal Doulton productions. This particular model was issued in response to popular demand for a companion to the series The Wives of King Henry VIII. As a limited edition the figurine is supplied with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
