One of the most dramatic episodes of World War II was the evacuation of thousands of children from British cities affected by bombing campaigns to safer rural areas. The Children of the Blitz Collection of four figurines depicts the poignant scenes of a young boy and girl being forced to leave their families and the same children joyously returning after the War and being reunited with their pets.

Homecoming shows the girl just having retured home with her luggage and basket of fresh vegetable from the countryside.  She kneels to give her much-missed dog all her attention and in return receives a look of sheer adoration.

Each figurine from The Children of the Blitz collection was issued in a limited edition of 9500 and each is supplied here with its numbered certificate of authenticity.  We have all four in stock.
