William III HN4022 by Royal Doulton is one of four figurines belonging to the Stuart Kings Collection.  Issued in 1998 in a limited edition of 1500.  Entirely hand-crafted and embellished with 22 carat gold by the skilled artists at Royal Doulton.

After the bloodless "Glorious Revolution" of 1688, the English Parliament formally offered William and Mary the throne as joint monarchs.  Mary died of small pox in 1694 leaving William to rule alone until 1702 when he died after a fall from his horse.
