Prized Possessions HN2942 was issued exclusively to members of the Royal Doulton International Collectors Club and carries a special backstamp. The lady is researching her Sweet Anne figurine in her reference book by Desmond Eyles and Richard Dennis. The partner to Prized Possession is Pride and Joy HN2945 where a gent similarly researches his character jug.

The detail on the figurine is superb - the content of the opened page of the book can actually be read. The dress is beautifully decorated in a swirling crimson pattern and the shawl has a raised herring-bone design. A superb figurine of exceptional quality.
