Here we have the first style of Margaret HN1989 issued by Royal Doulton and, in my opinion, she's the finest.  Her pretty face is framed by a bonnet that matches her dress, which is in a vibrant sea-green colour with a contrasting overskirt in crimson.

This age of figurine is entirely hand-painted with delicate modelling. The skill of the artist is evident in Margaret's pretty features. The mottled pattern used on her dress is built-up by using a combination of colours that takes time and care.
