The Lifeguard and The Guardsman are two of the relatively few British military figurines produced by Royal Doulton despite many years of production. The recent Nostalgia Series has gone some way to meet the huge demand existing amongst militaria collectors for figurines of the Armed Forces, but come on Doulton so much more is needed!  This is evident by how rarely these impressive regimental soldiers appear on the market. Their changing of the guard ceremonies at Buckingham Palace and Horse Guards in Whitehall are renown the world over.

The Lifeguard HN2781 made in England model should not be confused with the current Iconic London figures by Royal Doulton
