One of the most dramatic episodes of World War II was the evacuation of thousands of children from British cities affected by bombing campaigns to safer rural areas. The Royal Doulton Children of the Blitz Collection of four figurines depicts the poignant scenes of a young boy and girl being forced to leave their families and the same children joyously returning after the War and being reunited with their loved ones.

The Girl Evacuee HN3203 is the most sought-after from the collection.  She depicts a most heart-rending scene of upset and confusion.  She sits forlornly on her suitcase and holds close her beloved teddy bear.

Each figurine from The Children of the Blitz collection was issued in a limited edition of 9500 and each is supplied here with its numbered certificate of authenticity.
