Kate Greenaway achieved international success at the end of the 19th century with her children's books.  Her illustrations were the inspiration for the Royal Doulton Kate Greenaway collection of children, who are typically dressed in high waisted simple gowns with poke bonnets or mobcaps. Carrie HN2800  is one of eighteen in the very popular Kate Greenaway Collection.
