An Angel on Horseback 2704a is from the Beswick Norman Thelwell Collection.  It is one of three models available from 1981-89.  Each model was released in two colours; one with a grey pony, as shown here, and the other with a bay pony.

These early Beswick models are highly sought-after and not surprisingly so as they are particularly well-modelled.  They are also great fun; the pony's expression is perfect as he looks back at his learner rider.
